When I heard that Undertale Yellow (made as a direct prequel to the original) released to clamorous praise from the community, it certainly piqued my interest. I’ve now finished it twice and fully intend to return to it to see the rest. Not only did the game feel like I was playing a new, legitimate entry in the Undertale franchise, but in doing so made me question my initial hesitation toward playing fan games simply because of the context of their creation.
